Dec. 1962 Mitchell County-End: Group of pension lists with no dates filmed alphabetically by county.Lists of Cofederate pensioners for each county; each list may or may not have notations, revisions, or additions. The state auditor, in addition to supplying application blanks to the clerks of court, was charged with compiling a list of pensioners for each county. A copy of that list was sent to the appropriate clerk of court for corrections or deletions. The revised list was returned to the state auditor and used in issuing the pension warrants for the next year. Some of these lists have not been corrected and may be duplicate sets. By the 1960s, the number of pensioners on the roll was small enough that the corrections may have been updated throughout the year by the bureau staff.Microfilm.
