Fireflies and hand grenades / by Stone, J. B.,author.;
"Fireflies & Hand Grenades is my personal culminated anthem of my own lived experiences as a Neurodiverse and Autistic writer. My poetic body is a fragmented mosaic, seeking to confront the "hand grenade" issues such as; Body Dysmorphia, Depression, toxic masculinity, ADHD, High Anxiety, Alcoholism, and finding a light at the end of a long, and winding tunnel (i.e., the "fireflies"). Through this I explore the ways and means of hope and empowerment in spaces where both entities seem to be absent. J.B. Stone is a Neurodivergent/Autistic slam poet, writer, editor, and literary critic from Brooklyn, now residing in Buffalo, NY. He is the author of A Place Between Expired Dreams And Renewed Nightmares (Ghost City Press 2018) and INHUMAN ELEGIES (Ghost City Press 2020). He is the Editor-In-Chief/Reviews Editor at Variety Pack and a Reader at Uncharted Magazine. His work has appeared in Chicago Review of Books, Atticus Review, Noctua Review, Peach Mag, Maudlin House, among other places." --

The summer you were mine [large print] : a novel / by Francis, Jill,1976-author.;
"Ellie Beltrami and Cristiano Conte have known each other their entire lives. Both families hail from Chiavari, a small city on the Italian Riviera. Their grandparents are friends. Their parents are friends. They were friends. And for one brief moment fourteen summers ago, they were almost more than that. After years apart, Ellie and Cris are headed back to Chiavari, as generations of Beltramis and Contes gather to celebrate the unlikely second marriage between her grandmother and his grandfather. Ellie arrives in Italy mere hours after her career as the host of a multimedia sports talk show has imploded thanks to a hot mic incident. Without work to distract her, she spends her free time re-examining her early years and perceived flaws in light of a recent autism diagnosis. Cris, a newly retired elite swimmer, also arrives adrift after being accused of using a banned substance. His grandfather, father, and brothers have all made lifelong careers in sports, but he is searching for an off-ramp from athletics to something that gives him real meaning. Reunited in a place where summer dreams come true, Cris and Ellie make a deal: an exclusive interview with Cris to fix her career, and an appearance on Ellie's show to clear his name, letting him retire in peace. Soon they're picking up where their teen romance left off, but if this second chance can last, they'll need to finally confront what drove them apart all those summers ago. Can your greatest regret become your greatest romance?"--

A special interest in murder / by Harrison, Mette Ivie,1970-author.(CARDINAL)684272;
"Ada Latia is twenty-four years old. She used to be the youngest millionaire in the cosmetics industry. She used to be married. Now, she spends her time studying ways to communicate with aliens. After all, aliens could not possibly be more cruel or deceitful than other humans. Ada's spiteful ex-husband Rex believes autistic people like her are monsters, so she's not surprised when he calls her to share a clickbait article gleefully shouting that one autistic child has killed another at a special school in Idaho. Rex just means to hurt her, but when Ada reads the article, it's not the lies about autism being fake that catch her eye: it's a disturbing photograph of the dead child. The image of the girl is perfect - too perfect. As if someone has committed a murder, and then carefully staged the scene to cover it up. Ada reports her suspicions to the FBI, and the case crosses the desk of her old classmate Henry Bloodstone, who invites her to assist him. Ada's not a trained investigator. It's painful for her to come up against situations she's not an expert in. She barely remembers Henry, even though it's clear that he remembers her. But the death is a mystery - and Ada, who counts murder as one of her special interests, has never learned to let a mystery go."--
