Remember When? was created by Lee County citizens interested in preserving the folklore of Lee County. The compilation includes stories, superstitions, and proverbs for daily living, passed down from many generations to the present. It encompasses all ethnic cultures of Lee County.Remember When? has been produced at North Carolina State University by the faculty and staff of the Humanities Extension/Publications Program. Special production credits are due Pam Ellis and Alan Ford. Dr. Jim Clark led the Lee County folklore collecting seminar which Lee County Extension Homemakers had organized in Sanford during the spring of 1994.
