Paddington tries out a new conjuring outfit at his birthday. He does various tricks and borrows Mr. Curry's wristwatch, which he smashes. Mr. Curry is furious. Mr. Gruber offers to replace it.Paddington, to his surprise, finds all the Browns holding a party in his honour. Mr. Gruber gives him a book "One hundred ways of tearing paper". Paddington consults the book -- the first item is "The mystery of the disappearing banknote". He borrows a note from Mr. Curry and tears bits out of it -- it is supposed to turn up in Mr. Curry's ear but Paddington had turned to the wrong page and has made a paper doily. Mr. Curry is furious and Mr. Brown offers to pay Mr. Curry for the torn pound note. Mrs. Brown tells Paddington that a cable has arrived from the home for retired bears in Lima, stating that his aunt Lucy is celebrating her hundredth birthday and they wondered if Paddington would like to go there. Paddington comes down the stairs with his case packed.High Flyers - Rudolph Von Flugel takes Huckle and Lowly up in his airplane, but he forgets to do up his own seatbelt. When he does a loop de loop, he falls out of the plane, leaving Huckle and Lowly to pilot it by themselves. Rudolph's got to get back up to rescue them, but when the human cannon at the amusement park, and a large rocket attached to his back fail, Rudolph resorts to the tried and true - his old balloon. - Steamboat Mystery - The Pigs celebrate their anniversary by throwing a costume party on a Lake Geneva steamboat. Luckily when Mrs. Pig's new pearl necklace disappears, Sam and Dudley are there to follow the only clue - strange powder marks. And with the help of a powder donut-munching police officer, Sam and Dudley solve the great steamboat mystery. - Best Waiters Ever - Mayor Fox has invited the Mayor of Workville to dine with him at Louie's restaurant. So when Louie's waiter and chef are sent home sick, Louie hires the Three Beggars to help. Benny Baboon eats all the food, Harry Hyena and Wolfgang Wolf keep going in the out door, and finally, everyone ends up covered in cake. But the Mayor of Workville has the greatest time, and wishes restaurants in Workville were just as much fun.Ambulance Cake - Everyone in Busytown's getting ready for the big Hospital bake sale, and Mother Cat's made her famous cake. When there's an accident and the cake is destroyed, Huckle, Lowly, and Hilda set out to bake a new one to surprise Mother Cat ... and it's their cake that puts them over the hump. Now the hospital can buy a new ambulance. - Supermarket Mystery - Detectives Sam and Dudley are called upon to find out who's stealing groceries at the big Los Angeles supermarket. Dudley disguises himself as a sack of potatoes, and when he gets stolen, Sam must chase the thief down all by himself. Things look grim when Sam is captured, but the thief panics at the sight of a walking sac of potatoes, and he gives himself up. - Big Trouble for Bananas Gorilla - It's Bananas Gorilla's first day on the job at Scotty's garage and boy does it start off bad. He's late for work, runs into Mr. Gronkle, and then he's accused of pick pocketing Mr. Gronkle's wallet and stealing Mr. Gronkle's car. But the truth is revealed that all Bananas Gorilla wanted to do was return Mr. Gronkle's lost wallet fast... which is why he took his car.Paddington gets curious while watching workmen excavate a hole and he makes quite a find.Paddington was given a torch by Mr. Gruber. He was practicing with it one evening, when he had a shock. Every time he flashed the torch out of the window, he received the same signal back. The light seemed to be coming from Mr. Brown's greenhouse. The next day Paddington decided to test his detective's disguise, but he is immediately recognized by Mrs. Brown. He investigates Mr. Brown's greenhouse and sees a large marrow, which he tests for fingerprints on the lawn. At dinner, Mr. Brown says someone has taken the marrow. Paddington tells them about the signaling from the greenhouse and he went to investigate, and Jonathan explains that it was the reflection from his torch.The Police Chief gives urgent orders to Sneef and his assistant Sniff - they must hurry to Nice. Sneef's sure there's a big crime to stop, and everyone on the train is suspect. After a sleepless night watching various "scoundrels" get on the train, the scoundrels are revealed to be police chiefs who've gotten together to throw Sneef a surprise birthday party.Paddington is surprised to see snow when he looks out of the window. Jonathan, Judy and Paddington clear snow from the path of the Brown's house. Paddington decides to clear snow from Mr. Curry's paths too. Jonathan and Judy are busy making a snowman, and then all three have a snowball fight. Mr. Curry comes out complaining that a snowball landed on his hot water bottle and melted in his bed. Paddington has closed and blocked Mr. Curry's back door, locking him out.Mr. Gruber takes Paddington on a mystery outing to the Waxworks. Paddington is mystified by strange figures in costumes. He approaches a kiosk to buy souvenirs and finds the lady is made of wax. He drops chocolate into the attendant's ticket box, but he is real, not wax. So Paddington escapes from him and joins a group of wax figures, pretending he is one of them. Sightseers arrive -- Paddington gets tired of posing and is feeling hungry so he climbs off the platform and heads for the exit.Ages 5-7.Grades K-2.
